About Chinyika High School

Over 40 years of excellence in education, serving the Goromonzi District and beyond with Christian values and academic distinction.

Our Story

Located 35 km from Harare in Goromonzi District, Mashonaland East Province, Chinyika High School was established in 1981 as a beacon of hope for the local community.

Founded by the Salvation Army, our school was created as an affordable alternative for families whose children could not access the more expensive local boarding schools. We are proud to be owned by the Salvation Army, which brings Christian values and community service to the heart of our educational mission.

Today, we continue to serve with boarding facilities for girls, and from January 2025, we will extend our boarding program to include boys, further expanding our reach and impact in the community.
